internet to be shut down due to criminal activities

Have you ever imagined a world without the Internet? Where all technologies will cost half price only for the reason that it cannot surf the net? The iPhone itself would be just a regular touchscreen phone only with no access to Twitter or Facebook. Who knows maybe there wont be any social networking websites and people might actually communicate in person!

ABC is suggesting that the Internet is a major tool in organised crimes and it allows 'hackers' or computer criminals to hack into your computer and infect it with computer programs called malware. This allows the 'hacker' to manipulate and use the computer for their own benefit.

On the other hand of this saga, fortunately, shutting down the internet will come as a last resort. In the mean time there are other ways to how this can be dealt with. It all hangs in the hands of the people who are using the net and their responsibilities. Solving the issue however is highly complicated or even impossible but shutting down the internet will have major effects on people, businesses and the whole value of communication.
