"Hackers" have recently tampered with the social networking site Twitter for two days but users didn't seem much concerned. An article on newscientist.com has revealed that Twitter was hacked into by 'politically-motivated hackers' and that the incident has raised questions about the users' reaction to the shutting down of the website.

You can read all about it in the following link:

Their view however is different from mine. I believe that communication is the main reason why the users of the site were not concerned with the incident. Many people use Facebook for their everyday communications with friends and relatives. While Twitter also offers communication options, it is more indirect communication. Twitter is used more for people to vent and update their every move and people can check the updates of the people they are following at a later time. Therefore facebook is a better, faster and more effective way to communicate with others.
